  • 1. How wonderful it is to offer thanksgiving to the Lord and sing praises to your name, O Most High;
  • 2. Proclaim your faithful love in the morning and your steadfast faithfulness at night,
  • 3. to the sound of stringed instruments and beautiful melodies, accompanied by the harp and the ten-string lyre.
  • 4. You, O Lord, make me glad by your works; the work of your hands makes me sing for joy.
  • 5. How great are your works, O Lord, how profound are your purposes!
  • 6. The fool does not understand, the fool does not perceive,
  • 7. that even though the wicked flourish like grass and all evildoers prosper, they will be destroyed forever.
  • 8. You, Lord, remain exalted forever.
  • 9. As for your enemies, O Lord, they will be destroyed; all the evildoers will be scattered!
  • 10. You strengthen me like a wild ox; you pour anointing oil on me.
  • 11. My eyes see the defeat of my enemies; my ears hear the downfall of the evildoers who attack me.
  • 12. The righteous will flourish like the palm tree, they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon;
  • 13. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
  • 14. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will be full of vigor and green,
  • 15. to declare that the Lord is righteous. He is my Rock; there is no injustice in him.
