  • 5. Unite with a common purpose; conspire against you
  • 6. the nations of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites,
  • 7. Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.
  • 8. Even Assyria joined them, bringing strength to Lot's descendants.
  • 9. Treat them as you treated Midian, as you treated Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
  • 10. which were destroyed in En-dor and became dung for the earth.
  • 11. Do to them the same as you did to Oreb and Zeeb, and to all their princes, like Zeba and Zalmunna,
  • 12. who said, “Let us take possession of God’s land.”
  • 13. Reduce them to dry leaves carried by the wind, O my God, and let them be like scattered chaff.
  • 14. May they be consumed by fire, like a forest burned, and like flames that devour the mountains.
  • 15. Pursue them with your hurricane and terrify them with your storm.
  • 16. Cover them with shame and confusion until they seek your name, Lord.
  • 17. Be ashamed and terrified forever; perish in complete disgrace.
  • 18. Know that you, whose name is Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
