Psalms, Chapter 60:

• 1. You have rejected us and scattered us, O God; you poured out your wrath on us. Restore us now!
• 2. You shook the earth and opened fissures in it; repair its cracks, for it is about to fall apart.
• 3. You put your people through hard trials; You gave us to drink wine that stuns us.
• 4. However, you gave a sign to those who fear you, so that they could flee from the arrows of the enemy.
• 5. Save us with your right hand and answer us, so that those you love may be freed.
• 6. God spoke from his sanctuary: “I will triumph and divide Shechem and divide the valley of Succoth.
• 7. Gilead belongs to me, Manasseh also; Ephraim is my helmet, and Judah is my scepter.
• 8. Moab is the basin in which I wash; upon Edom I throw my sandal; Over Philistia I shout my victory!”
• 9. Who will lead me to the fortified city? Who will guide me to Edom?
• 10. Was it not you, O God, who rejected us and stopped going out with our armies?
• 11. Give us help against the enemy, for human help is useless.
• 12. With God we will win victory, and he will trample our adversaries.
