- 1. Applaud, O peoples, all of you; Acclaim God with songs of joy.
- 2. For the Lord Most High is awesome, he is the great King over all the earth!
- 3. He subdues the nations under our power; puts the people under our feet.
- 4. He chose for us our inheritance, the pride of Jacob, whom he loves.
- 5. God ascended amidst acclamations; the Lord, with the sound of trumpets.
- 6. Sing praises to God, play music! Sing praises to our King, play music!
- 7. For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with skill and art.
- 8. God reigns over the nations; God is sitting on his holy throne.
- 9. The rulers of the nations gather together with the people of the God of Abraham, for the rulers of the earth belong to God; he is exalted in supremacy.
