  • 1. A good name is worth more than great riches; Enjoying good esteem is worth more than silver and gold.
  • 2. Both the rich and the poor have something in common: the Lord is the Creator of both.
  • 12. The prudent perceive danger and seek refuge; the inexperienced goes ahead and suffers the consequences.
  • 4. The reward for humility and the fear of the Lord is wealth, honor and life.
  • 5. In the path of the wicked are thorns and snares; anyone who wants to protect their own lives stays away from it.
  • 6. Educate your child according to the goals you have for them, and even when they get older, they will not deviate from them.
  • 7. The rich dominates the poor; the borrower becomes the slave of the lender.
  • 8. Whoever sows injustice reaps evil; the punishment for your arrogance will be complete.

  • 12. The eyes of the Lord protect knowledge, but he frustrates the words of the faithless.
  • 13. The lazy man says, “There’s a lion outside!” “I will be killed in the street!”
  • 14. The talk of an immoral woman is a deep pit; Whoever is under the wrath of the Lord will fall into it.
  • 15. Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will free him from it.
  • 16. Both those who oppress the poor to enrich themselves and those who show courtesy to the rich will certainly be in need.
  • 17Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise, and apply your heart to my teaching.

Advice from the wise

  • 18. It will be a pleasure to keep them inside and have them all on the tip of your tongue.
  • 19. That you may trust in the Lord, I will teach you today.
  • 20. Haven't I written advice and instructions to you before?
  • 21. Have I taught you trustworthy words so that you will respond truthfully to those who sent you?
  • 22. Do not exploit the poor because they are poor, nor oppress the needy in court, for the Lord will be their advocate and will rob those who rob them of their lives.
  • 23. Do not associate with those who are in a bad mood, nor keep company with those who are easily angered; otherwise you will end up imitating this behavior and fall into a deadly trap.
  • 26. Do not be like those who, with a handshake, commit themselves to others and become guarantors of debts; If you can't afford them, why run the risk of losing even the bed you sleep in?
  • 28. Do not move old landmarks that limit properties and were placed by your ancestors.
  • 29. Have you ever observed a skilled man at his work? He will be promoted to royal service; You won't work for shady people.
