The guilt offering

  • 1. This is the law of guilt atonement; It is a most holy thing.
  • 2. In the place where they slaughter the burnt offering, they will slaughter the guilt offering; and his blood will be sprinkled on the altar all around.
  • 3. And all its fat will be offered: the tail, and the fat that covers the inwards,
  • 4. And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and next to the loins; and the shingles of the liver and kidneys will be removed.
  • 5. And the priests shall burn them on the altar as an offering by fire to the Lord; It is the atonement for guilt.
  • 6. Every man among the priests shall eat of it; in the holy place it will be eaten; It is a most holy thing.
  • 7. As the sin offering, so is the guilt offering; there will be the same law for both; it will be up to the priest who makes atonement with her.
  • 8. Also the priest who offers someone's burnt offering will have for himself the skin of the burnt offering that he has offered.
  • 9. And every food offering that is cooked in the oven, and everything that is made in the pan or in the frying pan, will belong to the priest who offers it.
  • 10. And every food offering, whether mixed with oil or dried, shall belong to all Aaron's sons, equally to one as to another.

The peace offering

  • 11. This is also the law of the peaceful sacrifice that is offered to the Lord:
  • 12. If his offering is a thanksgiving offering, then with the thanksgiving offering he shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened cakes dipped in oil, and fine flour mixed with oil.
  • 13. With cakes of leavened bread he shall offer his offering together with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offering.
  • 14. And of the same offering he shall offer a portion as a wave offering to the Lord, which shall be the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.
  • 15. And the flesh of the thanksgiving sacrifice of his peace offering shall be eaten on the day of his offering; nothing will be left of her until the morning.
  • 16. However, if the offering of your sacrifice is a vow, or a voluntary offering, on the day you offer your sacrifice it will be eaten; and what remains of it will be eaten the next day.
  • 17. But whatever remains of the sacrifice until the third day will be burned in the fire.
  • 18. And if any of the flesh of his peace offering be eaten on the third day, he that offered it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed to him; it will be abominable, and the soul that eats it will bear its iniquity.
  • 19. And the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; in the fire he will burn; but the flesh will be eaten by whoever is clean; everyone who is clean will eat the flesh.
  • 20. But the soul that eateth the flesh of the peace offering, which is the Lord's, having his filthiness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from his people.
  • 21. And when anyone touches any unclean thing, or the uncleanness of man, or unclean animal, or any unclean abomination, and eats the flesh of the peace offering, which is the Lord's, that soul will be cut off from his people.

Forbidden to eat blood and fat

  • 22. The Lord said to Moses:
  • 23. Speak to the children of Israel, saying: You shall not eat the fat of ox, nor of ram, nor of goat.
  • 24. The fat of the slain animal, and the fat torn apart, shall be applied to all the work, but you shall not eat it.
  • 25. For whoever eats the fat of an animal, from which an offering by fire is offered to the Lord, that soul who eats it will be cut off from his people.
  • 26. Also wherever you live, you shall not eat the blood of birds or animals.
  • 27. Every soul that eats any blood will be cut off from his people.

The portion of Aaron and his sons

  • 28. The Lord said to Moses:
  • 29. Speak to the children of Israel, saying: Whoever offers his sacrifice of peace to the Lord will bring his offering to the Lord, the sacrifice of peace.
  • 30. Their hands shall bring the offerings of the Lord, that is, the fat with the breast, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the Lord.
  • 31. And the fat that shall rise with the breast, and the breast shall wave for a wave offering before the Lord, shall be Aaron's and his sons'.
  • 32. Also the right arm of your sacrifices of peace will be part of the wave offering before the Lord.
  • 33. Whoever of Aaron's sons offers the blood of the sacrifices of peace and the fat, he will have his right arm for his portion.
  • 34. For I have taken from the children of Israel the breasts of the wave offerings and the arm of the heave offering, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons for a perpetual statute of the children of Israel.
  • 35. This is Aaron's portion and his sons' portion of the Lord's offerings on the day he presented them to be priests to the Lord.
  • 36. Which the Lord commanded to give unto them in the day in which he anointed them, by the statutes for ever, throughout all their generations.
  • 37. This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, of the sin offering, of the trespass offering, of consecration, and of the peace offering,
  • 38. That the Lord commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, on the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their offerings to the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai.
