The grain offering

  • 1. And when anyone offers a meat offering to the Lord, his offering shall be fine flour, on which he shall pour oil, and put incense thereon;
  • 2. And he will bring it to the sons of Aaron, the priests; and he shall take from it whatever he pleases in his handful, of its fine flour and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar; It is an offering made by fire, a sweet savor to the Lord.
  • 3. And the remainder of the food offering shall be Aaron's and his sons'; It is a most holy thing, the offerings made by fire to the Lord.
  • 4. And when you offer an offering of baked goods, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened cakes anointed with oil.
  • 5. And if your offering is of food cooked in the desert, it will be fine flour with oil.
  • 6. You shall break it into pieces and pour oil on it; It is a food offering.
  • 7. And if your offering is of baked goods, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour, mixed with oil.
  • 8. And you shall bring the meat offering that is made of these things to the Lord, and you shall offer it to the priest, who shall bring it to the altar.
  • 9. And the priest shall take his portion of the meat offering, and burn it on the altar; It is an offering made by fire, a sweet savor to the Lord.
  • 10. And the remainder of the food offering shall be Aaron's and his sons'; It is a most holy thing, the offerings made by fire to the Lord.
  • 11. No food offering that you offer to the Lord will be made with leaven; for you shall offer no yeast or any honey as an offering made by fire to the Lord.
  • 12. You shall offer them as a firstfruits offering to the Lord; but they shall not ascend upon the altar for a sweet odor.
  • 13. You shall also salt all your food offering with salt; and you shall not let the salt of the covenant of your God be missing from your meat offering; in all your offerings you will offer salt.
  • 14. And if you offer to the Lord a food offering of the firstfruits, you shall offer, as an offering of the firstfruits, the green ears roasted by the fire, that is, the green ears crushed; You shall offer them as an offering of your firstfruits.
  • 15. And you shall offer oil upon your meal offering, and put incense thereon; It is a food offering.
  • 16. And the priest shall burn it for his portion, of his cakes, and of his oil, with all his incense; burnt offering is to the Lord.
