Leviticus, Chapter 1:
publicidad
Verses from Leviticus, Chapter 1 of the book of Leviticus in the Bible.
- 1. And the Lord called Moses, and spoke to him from the tent of the congregation, saying:
- 2. Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When any of you offer an offering to the Lord, he shall offer his offerings of animals, of his cattle, and of his flocks.
- 3. If your offering is a burnt offering of cattle, you shall offer a male without blemish; at the door of the tent of meeting he shall offer it of his own free will before the Lord.
- 4. And he will lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, that it may be accepted for him for his atonement.
- 5. Then he will kill the bull before the Lord; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall offer the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar which is before the door of the tent of meeting.
- 6. And he will skin the burnt offering, and break it into its pieces.
- 7. And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and on the wood that is on the altar.
- 8. And Aaron's sons, the priests, shall arrange the fragments, the head and the lamb, on the wood that is on the altar,
- 9. But he will wash his insides and his legs with water; and the priest shall burn all these upon the altar; A burnt offering is an offering made by fire, a sweet savor to the Lord.
- 10. And if his offering be of the flock, of the herd, or of the sheep, for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice, or to fulfill a vow, or for peace offerings, he shall offer a male without blemish.
- 11. And he will behead him on the north side of the altar, before the Lord; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar round about.
- 12. And he will cut it into pieces, with its head and its back; and the priest shall lay them in order upon the wood that is on the altar;
- 13. But he will wash his insides and his legs with water; and the priest shall offer all these, and burn them upon the altar; A burnt offering is an offering made by fire, a sweet savor to the Lord.
- 14. And if his offering to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.
- 15. And the priest will bring her to the altar, and take her head, and burn it on the altar; and his blood will be squeezed on the wall of the altar.
- 16. And he will take away its crop with its feather, and cast it at the altar, towards the east, to the place of ashes.
- 17. And he will split it with his wings, but he will not break it completely; and the priest shall burn it on the altar, on top of the wood that is on the fire; A burnt offering is an offering made by fire, a sweet savor to the Lord.
