The Branch of the Lord
- 1. On that day, seven women will cleave to one man, saying: “We ourselves will provide our own food and clothing; only allow us to bear your name so that we will no longer be called dishonored and unmarried!”
- 2. In that day the Branch of the Lord will be magnificent and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and honor of the remnants of Israel.
- 3. Those who are left in Zion and remain in Jerusalem will be called saints, all those registered for life in Jerusalem.
- 4. When the Lord has washed away the impurity of the daughters of Zion and cleansed the shedding of blood in Jerusalem, through the spirit of righteousness and the fire of judgment,
- 5. The Lord will create a cloud of smoke over all Mount Zion and over those who gather there by day and a bright flame of fire by night. The glory of the Lord will be a shelter over everything.
- 6. There will be shade during the day from the scorching heat and refuge and shelter from the storm and rain.
