Offerings for the tabernacle

  • 1. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
  • 2. Tell the children of Israel to bring me a heave offering; from every man whose heart moves willingly, from him you will take my heave offering.
  • 3. And this is the heave offering that you shall take from them: gold, and silver, and copper;
  • 4. and blue, and purple, and crimson cloth, and fine linen, and goats' hair;
  • 5. and rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and satin wood;
  • 8. and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,
  • 9. and onyx stones, and setting stones for the ephod and for the breastplate.
  • 8. And they will make me a sanctuary, and I will dwell among them.
  • 9. According to all that I show you for the pattern of the tabernacle, and for the pattern of all its belongings, so shall you do.

The ark

  • 10. They shall also make an ark of satin wood; its length shall be two and a half cubits, and a cubit and a half its width, and its height a cubit and a half.
  • 11. And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold; you will cover it inside and out; and thou shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.
  • 12. You shall cast four golden rings for it, which you shall place on the four corners of it; two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.
  • 13. You shall also make staves of satin wood, and overlay them with gold.
  • 14. And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them.
  • 15. The poles will be in the rings of the ark, and they will not be removed from it.
  • 16. And you shall put the testimony in the ark, which I will give you.
  • 17. And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold; its length shall be two and a half cubits, and its width one and a half cubits.
  • 18. You shall also make two cherubim of gold; You will make them of beaten gold at the two ends of the mercy seat.
  • 19. You shall make one cherub at the end of one part, and the other cherub at the end of the other part; of one piece with the mercy seat you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it.
  • 20. And the cherubim will spread their wings above, covering the mercy seat with them; their faces facing each other; the faces of the cherubim will be turned towards the mercy seat.
  • 21. And you shall place the mercy seat on top of the ark, after you have put in the ark the testimony, which I will give you.
  • 22. And there I will come to you, and will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are upon the ark of the testimony, all that I command you for the children of Israel.

The table

  • 23. You shall also make a table of satin wood; its length shall be two cubits, and its width a cubit, and its height a cubit and a half.
  • 24. And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold; and you will make a golden crown around it.
  • 25. You shall also make a frame for it a span smaller around it; and thou shalt make him a crown of gold round about the frame.
  • 26. You shall also make him four rings of gold, and put them on the four corners of his four feet.
  • 27. Near the frame will be the rings, as places for the sticks, to carry the table.
  • 28. And thou shalt make the staves of satin wood, and overlay them with gold; and will take them to the table.
  • 29. You shall also make for him his dishes, and his spoons, and his goblets, and his bowls with which to offer drink offerings; You will make them of fine gold.
  • 30. And thou shalt place upon the table the shewbread before my face continually.

The candlestick

  • 31. You shall also make a lampstand of pure gold; this lampstand will be made of beaten gold; its pedestal, and its trunk, its cups, its handles, and its flowers, will be of one piece with it.
  • 32. And six branches will come out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand on one side of it, and three branches of the lampstand on the other side of it.
  • 33. Three cups made in the fashion of almonds, with knobs and flowers, in one arm, and three cups made in the fashion of almonds, with knobs and flowers, in the other arm; this will be done to the six arms that come out of the lampstand.
  • 34. And in that trunk of the lampstand there will be four cups made after the fashion of almonds, with knobs and flowers.
  • 35. And knobs under two arms of the same, and knobs under two arms of the same, and knobs under two arms of the same; this will be done to the six arms that come out of the lampstand.
  • 36. The handles and the arms thereof shall be of the same piece with him; everything will be one piece of beaten gold.
  • 37. And you shall make its seven lamps; and his lamps will be lit, so that it will shine before him.
  • 38. And their tongs, and their ashtrays, of pure gold.
  • 39. You will make it from a talent of fine gold, with all these belongings.
  • 40. And look, and do according to its pattern, which was shown to you on the mountain.
