Benjamin's descendants
- 1. Benjamin fathered Bela, his eldest son; Asbel, his second son, Aaron, the third;
- 2. Noah, the fourth; and Rafa, the fifth.
- 3. These were the sons of Bela: Adar, Gera the father of Ehud,
- 4. Abishua, Naaman, Aoah,
- 5. Gera, Shefufah and Huram.
- 6. These were the descendants of Ehud, heads of the families of the inhabitants of Geba, who were deported to Manaath:
- 7. Naaman, Ahijah and Gera. This Gera, father of Uzzah and Ahiud, was the one who deported them.
- 8. After he had divorced his wives Hushim and Bahara, Shaharaim had children in the land of Moab.
- 9. By his wife Hodes he fathered Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malkan,
- 10. Jeush, Saquias and Mirma. These were their children, heads of families.
- 11. With Hushim he fathered Abitub and Elpaal.
- 12. These were the sons of Elpaal: Heber, Misan, Shemede, who founded Ono, and Lod with their villages.
- 13. Beriah and Shema were the heads of the families of the inhabitants of Aijalon and they were the ones who expelled the inhabitants of Gath.
- 14. Ahio, Shashach, Jeremoth,
- 15. Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,
- 16. Michael, Ispa and Joah were descendants of Beriah.
- 17. Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,
- 18. Ismerai, Izliah and Jobab were descendants of Elpaal.
- 19. Jachin, Zicri, Zabdi,
- 20. Elienai, Ziletai, Eliel,
- 21. Adaiah, Beraiah and Sinrat were descendants of Shimei.
- 22. Ishpan, Heber, Eliel,
- 23. Abdom, Zicri, Hanan,
- 24. Hananiah, Elam, Anthotiah,
- 25. Iphdeias and Penuel were descendants of Sashak.
- 26. Sanserai, Shearias, Athaliah,
- 27. Jaaresiah, Elijah and Zicri were descendants of Jeroam.
- 28. All of these were heads of families, leaders, as listed in their genealogies, and lived in Jerusalem.
- 29. Jeiel, the father of Gibeon, lived in the city of Gibeon. His wife's name was Maacah;
- 30. that of his eldest son, Abdom; and that of his other sons, Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
- 31. Gedor, Aiô, Zequer
- 32. and Mycloth, who fathered Shimea. They also lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.
- 33. Ner begat Kish, who begat Saul. Saul fathered Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab and Eshbaal.
- 34. Jonathan's son was Merib-Baal, who fathered Micah.
- 35. These were the sons of Micah: Pithom, Melech, Tareiah and Ahaz.
- 36. Ahaz begat Jehoadah, Jehoadah begot Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri, and Zimri begat Mosa.
- 37. Mosa begat Bineah, the father of Rafa, who was the father of Eleasa, the father of Azel.
- 38. Azel had six sons named Azricam, Bocru, Ishmael, Searias, Obadiah and Hanan. These were all children of Azel.
- 39. These were the sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam the eldest; Jeush, the second; and Eliphelet, the third.
- 40. The sons of Ulam were brave soldiers and good archers. They had many children and grandchildren, there were one hundred and fifty in total. All of these were descendants of Benjamin.
