- 1. Lord, I want to give you thanks with all my heart and proclaim all your wonders.
- 2. In you I will rejoice and exult, and I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
- 3. When my enemies retreat before you, they stumble and are destroyed.
- 4. For you defended my right and my cause; You sat on your throne, judging with justice.
- 5. You rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you erased their name forever and ever.
- 6. The enemy was completely annihilated; their cities were razed to the ground; there is no more memory of them.
- 7. The Lord reigns forever; established his throne to judge.
- 8. He judges the world with justice; governs the people with righteousness.
- 9. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a safe haven in times of trouble.
- 10. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, never abandon those who seek you.
- 11. Sing praises to the Lord, who reigns in Zion; proclaim his deeds among the nations.
- 12. He who demands satisfaction for the blood shed does not forget; he does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.
- 13. Have mercy on me, Lord! See my suffering caused by those who hate me. Save me from the doors of death,
- 14. that I may sing praises to you at the gates of Zion and rejoice in your salvation.
- 15. The nations fell into the pit they themselves dug; their feet were caught in the trap they prepared.
- 16. The Lord is known by the justice he executes; the wicked are snared by their own works. Break.
- 17. May the wicked return to the dust, may all the nations that forget God be annihilated!
- 18. But the poor will never be forgotten, nor will the hope of those in need be frustrated.
- 19. Rise up, Lord! May mortals not triumph! May the nations be judged in your presence.
- 20. Instill terror in them, Lord; let the nations know that they are just human beings.
