publicidad
Verses from Psalms, Chapter 40 of the book of Psalms in the Bible.
- 1. I have placed all my hope in the Lord; he leaned towards me and heard my cry for help.
- 2. He brought me out of a pit of destruction, out of a swamp of mud; He placed my feet on a rock and established me in a safe place.
- 3. He has put a new song on my lips, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see this and fear, and trust in the Lord.
- 4. How happy is he who puts his trust in the Lord, and does not follow the arrogant, those who turn to idolatry!
- 5. O Lord, my God! How many wonders you have done! His plans for us are innumerable; I would like to announce and proclaim them, but there are more than I can count!
- 6. Sacrifice and offering you do not desire, but you opened my ears; You do not require burnt offerings or sin offerings.
- 7. Then I said, “Here I am! In the book it is written about me.
- 8. I delight in doing your will, O my God; your law is deep in my heart.”
- 9. I proclaim the good news of righteousness in the great assembly; As you know, Lord, I will not remain silent.
- 10. I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your salvation. I do not hide your grace and your truth from the great assembly.
- 11. Do not deny me your mercy, Lord; May your love and your truth always protect me.
- 12. For countless evils surround me, my faults have overtaken me and I can no longer see. They are more numerous than the hairs on my head, and my heart faints.
- 13. Please, Lord, to save me; hurry, Lord, to help me.
- 14. Let all those who seek to take my life be humiliated and ashamed; let those who desire my ruin turn back and be dishonored.
- 15. Let those who mock me be perplexed at their own misfortune.
- 16. But let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; Let those who love your salvation always say: “Great is the Lord!”
- 17. As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord cares about me. You are my help and my deliverer; My God, don't delay!
