1. How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!
2. My soul yearns, and even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my body exult with joy to the living God.
3. Even the sparrow found a home and the swallow a nest for herself, where she keeps her young, a place near your altar, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.
4. Happy are those who live in your house; praise you incessantly!
5. Happy are those who find strength in you, and those who have their hearts set on pilgrimage!
6. As they pass through the valley of Baca, they transform it into a place of springs; autumn rains also fill you with blessings.
7. They walk with increasing vigor, until each one appears before God in Zion.
8. Hear my prayer, O Lord God of hosts; Listen to me, O God of Jacob.
9. Look upon us, O God, our shield; treat your anointed with kindness.
10. One day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be at the door of the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11. For the Lord God is a sun and a shield; the Lord grants grace and glory; no good thing withholds from those who walk uprightly.
12. O Lord of hosts, how happy is he who trusts in you!
