  • 1. O God, clothe the king with your righteousness, and the king's son with your righteousness.
  • 2. May he judge your people with justice and your poor with righteousness.
  • 3. May there be prosperity on the mountains and the fruit of righteousness on the hills.
  • 4. May he defend the oppressed among the people, may he save the children of the needy, and may he crush the oppressor.
  • 5. May he live as long as there is the sun and as long as there is the moon, from generation to generation.
  • 6. May he be like the rain that waters the earth and like the drops that water the crops.
  • 7. May the righteous flourish in your presence and there be an abundance of peace until the moon is no more.
  • 8. May he rule from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth.
  • 9. Let the inhabitants of the desert bow down before him, and let his enemies lick the dust.
  • 10. Let the kings of Tarshish and the coastal regions bring him tribute; let the kings of Sheba and Seba offer him gifts.
  • 11. May all kings bow down before him and all nations serve him.
  • 12. May he save the needy who cry for help and the poor who have no one to help them.
  • 13. May he have compassion on the weak and the needy and save the lives of the oppressed.
  • 14. May he rescue you from oppression and violence, for your blood is precious in his eyes.
  • 15. May he live! May he be given Sheba gold! Pray for him constantly and invoke blessings upon him all day long.
  • 16. Let there be an abundance of wheat throughout the earth, and let it wave on the tops of the mountains. May the fruits flourish like those of Lebanon and may the cities prosper like the grass of the field.
  • 17. May your name be remembered forever, may your fame last as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him, and may they call him blessed.
  • 18. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful deeds.
  • 19. Blessed be his glorious name forever; let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen.
