  • 1. Have mercy on me, O God; have mercy on me, for in you my soul finds refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings, until the storms pass.
  • 2. I cry out to the Most High God, to the God who fulfills his purpose in me.
  • 3. He sends salvation from the heavens and puts to flight those who persecute me. God sends his love and his faithfulness.
  • 4. I am surrounded by hungry lions, eager to devour; their teeth are spears and arrows, their tongues are sharp swords.
  • 5. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! May your glory be manifested throughout the earth!
  • 6. They laid traps before me; my heart is down. They dug a pit in front of me, but they fell into it.
  • 7. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and praise!
  • 8. Awaken, my soul! Awaken, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn!
  • 9. I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing praises to you among the peoples.
  • 10. For your love is as great as the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
  • 11. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! May your glory be manifested throughout the earth!
