Psalms, Chapter 51:

• 1. Have mercy on me, O God, for the greatness of Your love; blot out my transgressions because of Your compassion.
• 2. Wash me completely from my guilt and cleanse me from my sin.
• 3. For I recognize my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.
• 4. Against You, and You alone, have I sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight, that You may be justified when You speak and pure when You judge.
• 5. I was born in sin, and from my mother's womb I have been a sinner.
• 6. But You desire the truth inwardly; teach me wisdom in my heart.
• 7. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
• 8. Make me hear joy and happiness again; let the broken bones rejoice.
• 9. Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities.
• 10. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew an steadfast spirit within me.
• 11. Do not take me away from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me.
• 12. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit.
• 13. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return to You.
• 14. Deliver me from the burden of shed blood, O God, God of my salvation! My tongue will exalt Your righteousness.
• 15. Open, Lord, my lips, and my mouth will proclaim Your praise.
• 16. For You do not delight in sacrifices, otherwise I would offer them; You do not delight in burnt offerings.
• 17. The sacrifice that pleases You is a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart You will not despise, O God.
• 18. In Your goodness, do good to Zion; builds the walls of Jerusalem.
• 19. Then thou shalt delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in the offerings by fire, and in the burnt offerings; bulls will be offered on Your altar.
