Psalms - Old Testament
Psalms – Old Testament
  • 1. As the deer pants for the water streams, so my soul pants for you, O God.
  • 2. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When will I have the opportunity to appear before God?
  • 3. My tears have been my food day and night, as I am constantly asked, “Where is your God?”
  • 4. When I remember these things, my soul is deeply saddened. I used to walk with the crowd, taking them to the House of God amidst voices of joy and praise, amid the feast of those who celebrate.
  • 5. Why are you cast down, O my soul? Why are you so upset inside me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise you, my Savior and my God.
  • 6. My soul is deeply distressed; Therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan, from the mountains of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.
  • 7. Deep cries for deep at the roaring of your torrents; all your waves and billows crash over me.
  • 8. During the day, the Lord bestows his faithful love, and during the night, his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.
  • 9. I will say to God, my Rock: “Why have you forgotten me? Why should I walk in tears, oppressed by the enemy?”
  • 10. My bones are in sharp pain, while my adversaries mock me, asking all the time, “Where is your God?”
  • 11. Why are you cast down, O my soul? Why are you so upset inside me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise you, my Savior and my God.
