  • 1. Lord, you examine me and know me deeply.
  • 2. You know when I sit down and when I get up; Even from a distance, you understand my thoughts.
  • 3. You know my daily activities, when I work and when I rest; all my ways are before you.
  • 4. Before I even speak a word, you already know it completely, Lord.
  • 5. You surround me on all sides, and your hand rests on me.
  • 6. This knowledge is wonderful and extraordinary; it goes beyond my understanding and reach; It is so sublime that I cannot understand it.
  • 7. Where could I run from your Spirit? Where could I escape your presence?
  • 8. If I ascend to heaven, there you are; If I make my bed in the deepest abyss, I will still find you there.
  • 9. If I fly on the wings of the dawn and settle in the ends of the sea,
  • 10. still your hand will guide me and your right hand will hold me.
  • 11. Even if I say that darkness will cover me and the light around me will turn to night,
  • 12. know, Lord, that even the darkness is not dark to you, and the night will shine as the day, for the darkness is light to you.
  • 13. You created my inmost being and knit me together in my mother's womb.
  • 14. I praise you because I am a wonderful work, your works are wonderful, and I am completely sure of that.
  • 15. My bones were not hidden from you when I was formed in secret, woven in the depths of the earth.
  • 16. Your eyes saw my embryo; all the days that were destined for me were written in your book before I even existed.
  • 17. O God, how precious your thoughts are to me! How immeasurable is their sum!
  • 18. If I counted them, they would be more numerous than the sand; If I numbered them, they would reach infinity.
  • 19. Oh, if you could kill the wicked, O God! May the bloodthirsty depart from me!
  • 20. They speak maliciously about you; in vain they rebel against you.
  • 21. Don't I hate those who hate you, Lord? And do I not abhor those who rise up against you?
  • 22. With perfect hatred I hate them; have become my irreconcilable enemies!
  • 23. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns.
  • 24. See if there is any deviation in my path, and guide me in the eternal path.
