- 1. These are the generations of Noah's sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom children were born after the flood.
- 2. The sons of Japheth were: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech and Tiras.

- 10. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Akkad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
- 11. From this land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehobothir, Calah,
- 12. and Reshem, between Nineveh and Calah; This is the big city.
- 11. Mizraim begat the Luddites, the Annamites, the Leabites, the Naphtuites,
- 14. the Patrusites, the Kasluites (from which the Philistines come) and the Kaphtorites.
- 15. Canaan begat Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth,
- 16. and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
- 17. the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
- 18. the Arvadites, the Zemarites and the Hamathites; Then the families of the Canaanites were scattered.
- 19. It was the border of the Canaanites from Sidon, going to Gerar, as far as Gaza, and going to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasa.
- 20. These are the children of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands, in their nations.
- 21. Children were also born to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber and the elder brother of Japheth.
- 22. The sons of Shem were: Elam, Assur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.
- 23. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Geter and Mash.
- 24. Arpachshad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
- 25. To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan.
- 26. Joktan begat Almodah, Sheleph, Hazarmaveh, Jerah,
- 27. Hadoram, Uzal, Diclah,
- 28. Obal, Abimael, Seba,
- 29. Ophir, Havilah and Jobab; These were all sons of Joktan.
- 30. And he went to his dwelling from Mesha, going to Sephar, a mountain in the east.
- 31. These are the children of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands, in their nations.
- 32. These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, according to their nations; and from these the nations on earth were distinguished after the flood.
