Instructions on the Sabbath

  • 1. And Moses gathered together all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded you to do.
  • 2. Six days you will work, but the seventh day will be holy for you, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD; Everyone who does any work on it will die.
  • 3. You shall not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.

Offerings for the tabernacle

  • 4. And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the word which the LORD commanded, saying:
  • 5. Take from what you have in abundance an offering to the LORD; everyone who is willing in heart will bring it as an offering to the LORD; gold, and silver, and copper,
  • 6. and blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
  • 7. and rams' skins dyed red, and fine skins, and acacia wood,
  • 8. and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,
  • 9. and onyx stones, and setting stones for the ephod and for the breastplate.
  • 10. And let all the wise in heart come among you, and do all that the LORD hath commanded:
  • 11. the tabernacle, its tent, and its covering, its clasps, its boards, its beams, its pillars, and its bases;
  • 12. the ark and its poles, the mercy seat, and the veil that is over it;
  • 13. the table and its poles, and all its utensils, and the showbread;
  • 14. and the lamp of splendor, and its utensils, and its lamps, and the oil for the lamp;
  • 15. and the altar of incense, and its poles, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense, and the curtain of the door to the entrance of the tabernacle;
  • 16. the altar of burnt offering, and its brass grate, its poles, and all its utensils, the laver and its base;
  • 17. the curtains of the courtyard, its pillars, and their bases, and the curtain of the courtyard gate;
  • 18. the stakes of the tabernacle, and the stakes of the courtyard, and their ropes;
  • 19. the garments of service for ministering in the sanctuary, the sacred garments of Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to administer the priesthood.
  • 20. And all the congregation of the children of Israel withdrew from before Moses.
  • 21. And every man came whom his heart moved, and every man whose spirit moved him willingly, and they brought the heave offering unto the LORD, for the work of the tent of the congregation, and for all its service, and for the garments sacred.
  • 22. And so men and women came, all willing in heart, and brought buckles, and pendants, and rings, and bracelets, every vessel of gold; and every man offered a gold offering to the LORD.
  • 23. And everyone who had blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and rams' skins dyed red, and fine skins, brought them.
  • 24. Everyone who offered a heave offering of silver or copper brought the heave offering to the LORD; and everyone who had acacia wood brought it for all the work of service.
  • 25. And all the women who were wise in heart spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun, the blue, and the purple, and the crimson, and the fine linen.
  • 26. And all the women, whose heart moved them in skill, spun by their goats' hair.
  • 27. And the princes brought onyx stones, and setting stones for the ephod and for the breastplate,
  • 28. and spices, and oil for light, and for anointing oil, and for sweet incense.
  • 29. The children of Israel brought a heave offering to the LORD, every person whose heart willingly moved toward it, bringing work from the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.

  • 30. And Moses said unto the children of Israel, Behold, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
  • 31. and the Spirit of God filled him with wisdom, with understanding, and with knowledge in every device,
  • 32. to design plans, and to work in gold, and in silver, and in copper,
  • 33. and in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every artifice.
  • 34. And he has put it into his heart to teach him, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
  • 35. He filled them with wisdom of heart, to do all the work of masters, and of craftsmen, and of embroiderers, in blue, and in purple, and in crimson, and in fine linen, and of weavers, in works of all labor. , and inventors of inventions.
