The descendants of Issachar

  • 1. These were the four sons of Issachar: Tolah, Puah, Jashub and Shinrom.
  • 2. These were the sons of Tollah: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jamai, Ibson and Samuel, heads of their clans. In David's reign, Tollah's descendants listed in their genealogies as fighting men numbered 22,600.
  • 3. The son of Uzi was Israiah. These were the sons of Israel: Michael, Obadiah, Joel and Issiah. All five were bosses
  • 4. who had many wives and many children. Therefore, according to his family's genealogy, they had 36,000 men ready for combat.
  • 5. Including his relatives, the fighting men of all the clans of Issachar, as listed in his genealogy, numbered in all 87,000.

The descendants of Benjamin

  • 6. These were the three sons of Benjamin: Bela, Bequer and Jediael.
  • 7. These were the sons of Bela: Eshbon, Uzi, Uziel, Jeremoth and Iri, five heads of families. His genealogical record listed 22,034 combat men.
  • 8. These were the sons of Beker: Zemira, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth and Alemeth. These were all sons of Bequer.
  • 9. Their genealogical record listed the heads of families and 20,200 fighting men.
  • 10. Jediael's son was Bilam. These were the sons of Bilam: Jehus, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish and Aishaar.
  • 11. All of these descendants of Jediael were heads of families that had 17,200 fighting men ready for war.
  • 12. Supim and Huppim were sons of Ir; and Hushim was the son of Aer.

The descendants of Naphtali

  • 13. These were the sons of Naphtali: Jaziel, Guni, Jezer and Shilehem, grandsons of Bilhah.

The descendants of Manasseh

  • 14. These were the descendants of Manasseh:
  • 15. Asriel, son of his Aramean concubine, who also gave birth to Machir, father of Gilead. Machir married Maacah, sister of Hupim and Supim. Another descendant of Manasseh was called Zelophehad, who only had daughters.
  • 16. Maacah, Machir's wife, gave birth to a son, and he named him Perez. His brother's name was Seres, and his sons were called Ulam and Rechem.
  • 17. Ulam's son was Bedan. These were the descendants of Gilead, son of Machir and grandson of Manasseh.
  • 18. His sister Hamolechet gave birth to Isod, Abiezer and Mahalah.
  • 19. These were the sons of Shemida: Aiã, Shechem, Liki and Anião.

The descendants of Ephraim

  • 20. These were the descendants of Ephraim: Suthelah, who was the father of Bered, the father of Tahath, the father of Eleada, who was the father of Tahath,
  • 21. father of Zabad, father of Sutela.
  • 22. Ephraim wept for them many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
  • 23. Then he slept with his wife again, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. He called him Berias, because a misfortune had happened in his family.
  • 24. His daughter's name was Seerah. It was she who founded Beth-Horom Upper and Beth-Horom Lower and also Uzém-Seerá.
  • 25. The son of Beriah was Repha, the father of Resheph, who was the father of Telah, the father of Tahan,
  • 26. father of Ladan, father of Ammihud, who was the father of Elishama,
  • 27. father of Nun, who was the father of Joshua.
  • 28. Their lands and cities included Bethel and its surrounding towns, Naharan on the east, Gezer and its towns on the west, and Shechem and Ahiah with their towns.
  • 29. The tribe of Manasseh controlled the cities of Bethshean, Taanach, Megiddo and Dor, with their respective villages. The descendants of Joseph, son of Israel, lived in these cities.

The descendants of Asher

  • 30. These were the sons of Asher: Imna, Isvah, Isvi and Beriah. Their sister was called Sera.
  • 31. These were the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malkiel, who was the father of Birzavit.
  • 32. Heber gave birth to Japhlet, Somer, and Hotham, and their sister Shuah.
  • 33. These were the sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimal and Ashvath. These were the sons of Japhlet.
  • 34. These were the sons of Somer: Ai, Roga, Jeubah and Aram.
  • 35. These were the sons of Helem, the brother of Somer: Zophah, Imna, Sheles and Amal.
  • 36. These were the sons of Zophah: Shuah, Harnefer, Shual, Beri, Inra,
  • 37. Bezer, Hod, Shamah, Shilsa, Itran and Beera.
  • 38. These were the sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pizpah and Arah.
  • 39. These were the sons of Ula: Ara, Haniel and Rizia.
  • 40. All these were descendants of Asher. They were heads of families, chosen men, brave soldiers and outstanding leaders. The number of those enlisted for combat in their army was 26,000.
