  • 1. Bless my soul to the Lord! O Lord, my God, you are incomparable! You are clothed with majesty and glory!
  • 2. Wrap yourself in light like a cloak, stretching out the heavens like a tent.
  • 3. You lay the foundation of your chambers in the waters, you make the clouds your chariot, and you ride on the wings of the wind.
  • 4. You make the winds your messengers and the flames of fire your servants.
  • 5. You established the earth on its foundations so that it will never be shaken.
  • 6. With the abyss covering you like a garment, the waters rose above the mountains.
  • 7. At your rebuke the waters fled; At the sound of your thunder, they fled.
  • 8. They went up through the mountains and down through the valleys, to the place you appointed for them.
  • 9. You have set a limit that they cannot exceed; they will never cover the earth again.
  • 10. You make springs gush out in the valleys that run between the mountains.
  • 11. They give water to all the animals in the field; wild donkeys quench their thirst.
  • 12. The birds of the air make nests by the waters and sing happily among the branches.
  • 13. From your heavenly dwellings water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruits of your labor.
  • 14. You make the grass grow for livestock, and the plants that man cultivates, so that he can get his food from the ground:
  • 15. wine, which gladdens the heart of man; the oil, which makes your face shine, and the bread, which sustains your vigor.
  • 16. The trees of the Lord are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon which he planted.
  • 17. Birds make nests in their canopies, and the stork has his home in the pines.
  • 18. High mountains belong to wild goats, and cliffs are a refuge for rabbits.
  • 19. You made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time to set.
  • 20. You bring darkness, and it becomes night, when the animals of the forest stir.
  • 21. Lions roar in search of food, seeking sustenance from God.
  • 22. When the sun rises, they withdraw and lie down again in their holes.
  • 23. Then the man goes out to his work, to his labor until nightfall.
  • 24. How many are your works, O Lord! All of them done wisely! The earth is full of your creatures.
  • 25. Behold the vast and wide sea, where there are countless beings, small and great beings.
  • 26. Ships sail on it, and also the Leviathan that you formed to play on it.
  • 27. Everyone expects you to give them food at the right time.
  • 28. You give to them, and they take up; you open your hand, and they are satisfied with goods.
  • 29. When you hide your face, they are troubled; when you take their breath away, they die and return to dust.
  • 30. When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth.
  • 31. May the glory of the Lord remain forever; May the Lord rejoice in his works!
  • 32. He looks at the earth, and it trembles; touch the mountains, and they smoke.
  • 33. I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will praise my God all my life.
  • 34. May my meditation please you; I will rejoice in the Lord.
  • 35. May sinners be eliminated from the earth and the wicked cease to exist. Bless my soul to the Lord! Hallelujah!
