  • 8. “A terrible illness laid him low; he is in bed and will never get up again.”
  • 9. Even my closest friend, whom I trusted and shared bread with, turned against me.
  • 10. But you, Lord, have mercy on me; lift me up, so that I can repay them.
  • 11. I know that you favor me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
  • 12. Because of my integrity, you uphold me and set me before you forever.
  • 13. Blessed be the Lord, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and amen!
