Psalms, Chapter 41:

Verses from Psalms, Chapter 41 of the book of Psalms in the Bible.

1. How happy is he who cares about those in need! The Lord delivers you in times of distress.
2. The Lord protects you and preserves your life; he makes him happy on earth and does not hand him over to the power of his enemies.
3. The Lord sustains him on his sick bed, and restores him from his illness.
4. I said, “Lord, have mercy on me; heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5. My enemies speak ill of me, saying, “When will he die? When will your name be erased?”
6. When someone comes to visit me, they speak falsehoods, fill their hearts with evil and then spread them around.
7. All those who hate me gather together and whisper against me, imagining the worst for me:
8. “A terrible illness laid him low; he is in bed and will never get up again.”
9. Even my closest friend, whom I trusted and shared bread with, turned against me.
10. But you, Lord, have mercy on me; lift me up, so that I can repay them.
11. I know that you favor me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
12. Because of my integrity, you uphold me and set me before you forever.
13. Blessed be the Lord, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and amen!
