  • 10. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and find safety.
  • 11. The wealth of the rich is like a fortified city, they consider it insurmountable like an impenetrable wall.
  • 12. Before the fall, the heart of man is filled with pride, but humility precedes honor.
  • 13. Whoever answers without first listening commits folly and is ashamed.
  • 14. The spirit of man sustains him in illness; but who will restore the broken spirit?
  • 15. The heart of a wise man seeks knowledge, and his ears are always open to learn.
  • 16. The gift opens the way for the one who offers it and leads him to the presence of the great.
  • 17. He who presents his case first appears to be right, until another comes and contradicts him.

  • 19. An offended brother is more inaccessible than a fortified city; discussions are like locked doors in a citadel.

  • 21. The tongue has power over life and death; those who use it will reap the fruits of their words.
  • 22. To find a wife is to get something excellent; It is a blessing bestowed by the Lord.
  • 23. The poor beg for mercy, but the rich respond harshly.
  • 24. He who has many friends may face ruin, but there is a friend more faithful than a brother.
