• 1. The Lord is the supreme King! The earth rejoices before Him, and the distant lands are filled with joy.
• 2. Thick darkness surrounds him, and righteousness is the foundation of his throne.
• 3. A devouring fire precedes him, consuming all his enemies around.
• 4. His lightning illuminates the world; the earth beholds them and trembles.
• 5. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Sovereign of all the earth.
• 6. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all nations behold his glory.
• 7. All idol worshipers are put to shame, those who boast of their false gods. Before Him, everyone prostrates themselves!
• 8. Zion hears and rejoices, and the cities of Judah rejoice, for You, Lord, are the righteous Judge.
• 9. You, Lord, are the Most High over all the earth! You are exalted above all gods!
• 10. Those who love the Lord must hate evil, for He keeps the lives of His believers and delivers them from the hands of the wicked.
• 11. Light arises for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.
• 12. Rejoice in the Lord, O righteous ones, and praise his holy name!
