- 1. In you, Lord, I sought refuge; May I never be humiliated.
- 2. Redeem me and deliver me through your righteousness; incline your ear to me and save me.
- 3. Be you my rock of refuge, to which I can always turn; give orders that I be released, for you are my rock and my fortress.
- 4. Deliver me, O my God, from the hands of the wicked, from the claws of the wicked and cruel.
- 5. For you are my hope, O Sovereign Lord, in you I have trusted since my youth.
- 6. From my mother's womb I depend on you; you sustained me from my mother's womb. I will continue to praise you.
- 7. I have become an example to many, because you are my sure fortress.
- 8. My praise overflows from your mouth, declaring your splendor all day long.
- 9. Do not reject me in my old age; Don't abandon me when I lack strength.
- 10. For my enemies speak against me; those who stalk my life conspire together,
- 11. saying: “God has abandoned him; pursue him and arrest him, for there is no one to free him.”
- 12. O God, do not turn away from me! O my God, hurry to help me!
- 13. Let those who seek my ruin be humiliated and frustrated; Let those who desire my harm be covered with shame and dishonor.
- 14. But I will always hope, and I will praise you more and more.
- 15. My mouth will proclaim your righteousness, every day I will speak of your salvation, even though I cannot understand it in its fullness.
- 16. I will tell of your mighty deeds, Sovereign Lord; I will report your righteousness, only your righteousness.
- 17. From my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I proclaim your wonders.
- 18. Now that I am old and gray-haired, do not abandon me, O God, so that I may speak of your strength to future generations, and of your power to all who are yet to come.
- 19. Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens; you have done great things. Who is like you, O God?
- 20. You, who have caused me to go through many bitter tribulations, will restore my life; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.
- 21. You will give me greater honor and comfort me again.
- 22. With the lyre I will praise you for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to you with the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
- 23. My lips will rejoice when I sing praises to you, for you have redeemed me.
- 24. My tongue will also speak continually of your righteousness, for all those who seek to harm me will be humiliated and frustrated.
