Psalms - Old Testament
Psalms – Old Testament
  • 1. Answer me when I cry, O God of my righteousness! Give me relief in my anguish; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
  • 2. O men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? How long will they love illusions and seek lies?
  • 3. Know that the Lord separates the godly for himself; the Lord will hear when I cry out to him.
  • 4. Be troubled, but do not sin; reflect in your heart, when you are silent in your beds.
  • 5. Offer sacrifices of righteousness and trust in the Lord.
  • 6. Many say, “Who will show us good?” Make, O Lord, the light of your face shine upon us!
  • 7. You have put joy in my heart, greater than the joy of those who have plenty of wheat and wine.
  • 8. I lie down in peace and then fall asleep, for only you, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
