Verses from Psalms, Chapter 4 of the book of Psalms in the Bible.

1. Answer me when I cry, O God of my righteousness! Give me relief in my anguish; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2. O men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? How long will they love illusions and seek lies?
3. Know that the Lord separates the godly for himself; the Lord will hear when I cry out to him.
4. Be troubled, but do not sin; reflect in your heart, when you are silent in your beds.
5. Offer sacrifices of righteousness and trust in the Lord.
6. Many say, “Who will show us good?” Make, O Lord, the light of your face shine upon us!
7. You have put joy in my heart, greater than the joy of those who have plenty of wheat and wine.
8. I lie down in peace and then fall asleep, for only you, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
