  • 1. Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and power.
  • 2. Give the Lord the glory that his name deserves; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holy sanctuary.
  • 3. The voice of the Lord resounds over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over many waters.
  • 4. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.
  • 5. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
  • 6. He makes Lebanon leap like a calf, Lebanon and Syriam like young wild oxen.
  • 7. The voice of the Lord sends forth flames of fire;
  • 8. The voice of the Lord shakes the desert; the Lord makes the wilderness of Kadesh tremble.

  • 10. The Lord established himself as King above the Flood; the Lord reigns as King forever.
