1. The king rejoices in your strength, O Lord! How he rejoices in your victories!
2. You granted him the desires of his heart and did not deny the request of his lips.
3. You received him with generous blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
4. He asked you for life, and you granted him long and eternal life.
5. Because of your victories, his glory is great; honor and majesty surround him.
6. You blessed him forever; with your presence you fill their heart with joy.
7. The king trusts in the Lord; Thanks to the faithfulness of the Most High, he will not be shaken.
8. Your hand will reach all your enemies; your right hand will reach all who hate you.
9. When you manifest yourself, you will make them a consuming fire; in your anger the Lord will devour them and swallow them whole.
10. You will eliminate his offspring from the earth and his posterity among men.
11. Even though they plot evil against you and conceive wicked plans, they will not prevail.
12. For you will put them to flight when you aim your bow against them.
13. Be exalted, Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power
