- 1. I love you, O Lord, my strength.
- 2. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my refuge, in whom I find shelter. He is my shield and the power that saves me, my high tower.
- 3. I cry to the Lord, worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
- 4. The ropes of death enveloped me; the torrents of perdition surprised me.
- 5. The ropes of Sheol surrounded me; the bonds of death reached me.
- 6. In my distress I cried out to the Lord; I screamed for help to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry reached their ears.
- 7. The earth trembled and trembled; the foundations of the mountains shook because he was angry.
- 8. Smoke rose from his nostrils; out of his mouth came burning coals and consuming fire.
- 9. He opened the heavens and came down; dark clouds were beneath their feet.

- 14. He shot his arrows and scattered my enemies, he hurled lightning and defeated them.
- 15. The bottom of the sea was exposed, the foundations of the earth were laid bare at your rebuke, O Lord, at the breath of your nose.
- 16. He stretched out his hand from above and held me; took me out of the deep waters.
- 17. He delivered me from my mighty enemy, from my adversaries, who were stronger than I.
- 18. They attacked me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.
- 19He brought me to a spacious place; He delivered me because he was pleased with me.
- 20. The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; He rewarded me according to the purity of my hands.
- 21. For I have followed the ways of the Lord; I did not act wickedly by turning away from my God.
- 22. All his ordinances are before me; I have not deviated from his decrees.
- 23. I have been blameless toward him and have kept myself from iniquity.
- 24. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the purity of my hands before his eyes.
- 25. With the faithful you show yourself faithful, with the upright you show yourself upright,
- 27. With the pure, You show Yourself pure, but with the wicked, You show Yourself cunning.
- 27. You save the humble people, but you humble the arrogant eyes.
- 28. You, Lord, light my lamp; my God makes my darkness shine.
- 29. With your help I can attack a troop; with my God I can overcome walls.
- 30. God's way is perfect; the word of the Lord is demonstrably genuine. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
- 31. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is a rock if not our God?
- 32. It is God who gives me strength and makes my path perfect.
- 33. Make my feet as agile as a deer's; hold me firm on high.
- 34. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bronze bow.
- 35. You give me your shield of victory; your right hand sustains me; you come down to meet me to exalt me.
- 36. You made the path wide for my steps, and my ankles did not waver.
- 37. I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not return until I had destroyed them.
- 38. I crushed them, and they could not rise; fell under my feet.
- 39. You gave me strength to fight; You subdued those who rose up against me.
- 40. You made my enemies turn their backs on me; I destroyed those who hated me.
- 41. They cried out for help, but there was no one to save them; They cried out to the Lord, but he did not answer them.
- 42. I reduced them to dust, like the dust of the ground; I stepped on them like someone stepping on mud in the streets.
- 43. You delivered me from the strife of the people; you made me the head of the nations; a people I have not known submit themselves to me.
- 44. As soon as they hear about me, they obey me; foreigners flatter me.
- 45. They all lose their courage; They emerge trembling from their hiding places.
- 46. The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Exalted be God, my Savior!
- 47. It is the God who grants me vengeance and subjects the people to me;
- 48. It is the God who delivers me from my enemies and exalts me above my adversaries; you freed me from the violent man.
- 49. For this I will give thanks to you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name.
- 50. He gives great victories to his king; demonstrates his loyal love to his anointed, to David and his descendants, forever.
