- 1. The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand while I make your adversaries a footstool for your feet.”
- 2. The Lord will extend the scepter of your power from Zion; and you will reign supreme over your enemies!
- 3. In your majesty you will summon your army, and your people will present themselves willingly; clothed in holiness, your young men will come like the morning dew.
- 4. The Lord has sworn and will not turn away from his purpose: “You are a priest forever, in the likeness of Melchizedek.”
- 5. The Lord is at your right hand; in the day of his wrath he will crush kings.
- 6. He will judge the nations, piling up the corpses, crushing leaders throughout the earth.
- 7. He will refresh himself by the stream along the way, then raise his head in triumph.
