  • 16. It is more valuable to obtain wisdom than gold; It is more profitable to acquire understanding than silver.
  • 17. The path of the righteous avoids evil; whoever keeps his way preserves his life.
  • 18. Pride precedes destruction; the haughty spirit precedes the fall.
  • 19. It is better to have a humble spirit among the oppressed than to share spoils with the proud.
  • 20. He who carefully considers every matter will prosper, and happy is he who trusts in the Lord.
  • 21. The wise in heart is considered prudent; he who speaks with balance promotes instruction.
  • 22. Understanding is a source of life for those who have it, but folly brings punishment to the foolish.
  • 23. The heart of a wise man instructs his mouth, and his lips promote knowledge.
  • 24. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, they bring sweetness to the soul and healing to the bones.
  • 25. There are paths that seem right to men, but in the end they lead to death.
  • 26. Hunger drives the worker, necessity makes him work.

  • 28. A wicked man causes discord, and he who spreads rumors alienates good friends.
  • 29. The violent person deceives his neighbor and leads him down bad paths.
  • 30. Whoever blinks his eyes plans evil; whoever purses his lips has already executed it in his heart.
  • 31. Gray hair is a crown of splendor, achieved by a righteous life.
  • 32. A patient man is better than a warrior, and it is better to control one's own spirit than to conquer a city.
  • 33. The lot is cast into the lap, but the decision comes from the Lord.
