The two silver trumpets

  • 1. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
  • 2. Make two silver trumpets; you will make them of well-crafted work, for the convocations of the congregation and for the departure of the camps.
  • 3. And when they play them, the whole congregation will gather to you at the door of the tent of meeting.
  • 4. But when only one is touched, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, will gather to you.
  • 5. When you also start, set up your tents to leave.
  • 6. But when only one trumpet sounds, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, will gather to you.
  • 7. But when you make a noise, then the camps that are encamped on the east side will leave.
  • 8. And when you make the second noise, then the camps that are encamped on the south side will leave; Shout by shout will be raised to break up the camps.
  • 9. But when you gather the congregation together, then you shall play, but not with a loud sound.
  • 10. And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and you shall have them as a statute for ever throughout your generations.
