Sacrifice of gratitude

  • 1. And if his offering be a peace offering; if he offers it from cattle, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the Lord.
  • 2. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and sacrifice it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar round about.
  • 3. And from the peace offering he shall offer a sacrifice made by fire to the Lord; the fat that covers the intestine, and all the fat that is on the inlets,
  • 4. And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins; and the shingle of the liver with the kidneys shall he take away.
  • 5. And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar, on top of the burnt offering that will be on the wood that is on the fire; an offering made by fire is a sweet aroma to the Lord.
  • 6. But if your offering for a peace offering to the Lord is of sheep or goats, you shall offer it without blemish.
  • 7. If he offers a lamb, he shall offer it before the Lord.
  • 8. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and sacrifice it before the tabernacle of the congregation; and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle his blood upon the altar round about.
  • 9. And from the peace offering he shall offer a burnt sacrifice to the Lord; he will offer the fat and the whole tail; the fat that covers the intestine, and all the fat that is on the inlets,
  • 10. And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins; and the shingle of the liver with the kidneys shall he take away.
  • 11. And the priest shall burn it upon the altar; food offering is to the Lord.
  • 12. And if his offering is of a goat, then he shall offer it before the Lord.
  • 13. And he will lay his hand on her head, and kill her before the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle his blood upon the altar round about.
  • 14. And from it he shall offer his offering for a burnt sacrifice to the Lord; the fat that covers the intestine, and all the fat that is on the inlets,
  • 15. And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins; and the shingle of the liver with the kidneys shall he take away.
  • 16. And the priest shall burn it upon the altar; bread offered as a burnt offering is a sweet aroma to the Lord; all the fat will be the Lord's.
  • 17. It is a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: You shall eat no fat nor any blood.
