  • 9. He said of his father and mother, 'I do not recognize them.' He did not consider his brothers, nor did he know his children. They observed your word and kept your covenant.
  • 10. They will teach your precepts to Jacob, your law to Israel. They will offer incense on your altar, complete burnt offerings.
  • 11. Bless, O Lord, their efforts, approve the work of their hands. Break the loins of the enemies that rise up against them, of those who hate them, so that they rise up no more.”

  • 15. with the best produce of the eternal hills, with the blessings of the eternal mountain;
  • 16. with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness. May all these blessings rest on the head of Joseph, on the top of the head of the chosen one among his brothers.
  • 17. He has the majesty of a bull, with horns like those of a wild ox; with them he will smite the nations, even the most distant. These are the countless tribes of Ephraim, these are the thousands of Manasseh.”
  • 18. And of Zebulun he said: “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your travels, and Issachar, in your tents.
  • 19. The peoples will call you to the mountain, there they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, and they will be satisfied with the abundance of the seas, with the hidden treasures of the beach ".
  • 20. And of Gad he said: “Blessed is he who enlarges Gad! Gad lives safely like a lion, tearing his arm and head to pieces.
  • 21. He chose the best portion for himself, for a portion of the leader was reserved there. He came with the leaders of the people and executed the Lord's justice with Israel."

  • 27. The eternal God is your refuge, and under his everlasting arms he will drive the enemy from before you, saying: 'Destroy them!'
  • 28. The people of Israel will dwell in safety, the fountain of Jacob will live in a land of wheat and new wine, where the sky drops dew.
  • 29. How happy you are, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and your glorious sword. Your enemies will be subdued before you, and you will trample on their hills.”
